FAQ

TikTok Shop affiliate, creator & GMV Max FAQ

110 straight answers on TikTok Shop affiliate marketing, creator networks, free samples, commissions, GMV Max and Spark Ads, plus how SparkGMV works and what it costs.

What does a TikTok Shop affiliate agency do?

It finds and manages the creators who sell your products on commission: outreach, sample approvals, commission strategy, content briefs and tracking which creators actually drive GMV. SparkGMV also builds your own long-term creator network and scales the best videos with Spark Ads and GMV Max.

How do you find creators for my TikTok Shop?

We draw on a network of 10,000+ vetted US and UK creators, shortlist the ones whose audience and past sales fit your category, approve samples against clear rules, brief them on formats that already sell, and keep working with the creators whose videos convert.

What is creator network building?

It means turning one-off affiliates into a roster of repeat creators who post for you every week. We find the creators who convert, tier them, move the best onto hybrid or retainer deals and keep a steady posting rhythm, so you are not starting from zero each month.

How should I set affiliate commission rates?

Commission should be set from your margin, not copied from competitors. We set open and targeted collaboration rates so every sale stays profitable, using hybrid (flat fee plus commission) or commission-only offers depending on the product.

What is GMV Max and do you manage it?

GMV Max is TikTok's automated campaign type for TikTok Shop sales, optimizing toward gross merchandise value. We set it up, manage ROI targets and budgets, and keep it supplied with fresh creator videos, which is what it needs to scale.

What is the difference between Spark Ads and GMV Max?

Spark Ads let you run a creator's TikTok post as an ad, keeping its likes, comments and creator handle. GMV Max is the automated campaign type for TikTok Shop sales. In practice, authorized creator videos become the creative that GMV Max scales.

What is in the free GMV Max and affiliate audit?

We score your GMV Max campaigns, Spark Ads and affiliate program, list the biggest gaps, and send a ranked 90-day plan, then walk you through it on a 30 minute call. It is free and there is no obligation.

How much does SparkGMV cost?

The Affiliate Engine plan is a monthly retainer of $1,500, $2,500 or $5,000. Growth Partner adds creator network building, GMV Max and Spark Ads management plus a 5%, 10% or 15% success fee on new revenue only. Ad spend is separate and paid by you.

Which categories and markets do you focus on?

Skincare, supplements, household, footwear and baby products, for brands selling on TikTok Shop in the United States and the United Kingdom.

What results have you delivered?

We have driven $52M+ in TikTok Shop sales and $38M+ in affiliate GMV for brands, including a health brand that did $1.5M in one month and a beauty brand that did $700K in one month on TikTok Shop.

What does a TikTok Shop affiliate marketing agency do?

It finds creators who can sell your product, invites them, approves and ships samples, briefs their content, sets commissions and tracks which creators actually drive sales. SparkGMV handles all of this for US and UK brands.

Should I use open or targeted collaborations?

Usually both. An open collaboration lets any eligible creator promote your product at a standard rate, while targeted collaborations invite specific creators on custom terms. Open plans build volume; targeted plans concentrate effort on creators most likely to sell.

How do you decide commission rates?

We start from each product's margin after cost of goods, fees and shipping, then work out how much of that a creator can earn while the sale stays profitable. Hero products and proven creators can justify higher rates than low-margin add-ons.

Do you send free samples to every creator who asks?

No. We write approval rules with you covering audience fit, category relevance, recent content quality and past posting behavior. Creators who take samples and don't post are excluded from future rounds.

Which plan includes affiliate marketing?

Both plans do. Affiliate Engine is a monthly retainer covering outreach, samples, commissions, briefs and reporting. Growth Partner adds creator network building, Spark Ads and GMV Max management for a retainer plus a success fee on new revenue only.

Creator Network Building

Read the full page →

What is a TikTok Shop creator network?

It is a brand's own roster of creators who post for it repeatedly, rather than a rotating cast of one-off affiliates. The roster is tiered by performance, managed in a CRM and paid with deals that reward consistent selling.

How is this different from affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is about recruiting and testing creators at scale. Network building starts once you know who converts: it keeps those creators posting long term through tiering, better deals, community and early product access.

How many creators should be in the network?

There is no fixed number. In most affiliate programs a minority of creators drive most of the sales, so we focus on finding that group and expanding it steadily rather than chasing a headcount target.

Do creators in the network get paid retainers?

Core creators often do, usually as a hybrid deal or monthly retainer for an agreed number of videos plus commission. Test and rising creators typically stay on commission or smaller hybrid offers until their sales justify more.

Which plan includes creator network building?

Creator network building is part of the Growth Partner plan, which combines a monthly retainer with a success fee on new revenue only and also includes Spark Ads and GMV Max management.

GMV Max Campaigns

Read the full page →

What does a GMV Max agency actually do if TikTok automates the campaign?

TikTok automates delivery, but you still control products, ROI target, daily budget and the creative the system can use. We manage those levers, keep creative supply fresh and judge results against your real margins and organic baseline.

Is GMV Max required for TikTok Shop ads?

According to TikTok's help center, since July 2025 GMV Max has been the default and only supported campaign type for Sales campaigns with a TikTok Shop destination. If you want paid traffic to your shop, GMV Max is the route at the time of writing.

How do you set the ROI target?

We start from your break-even ROI per product, built from price, cost of goods, platform fees, affiliate commission and fulfillment. We then compare it with TikTok's recommendation and the shop's recent history before choosing a target.

Do I need creator content before starting GMV Max?

You can launch with a small library, but performance usually plateaus without a steady supply of new videos. That is why we pair GMV Max management with affiliate seeding and Spark Ads authorizations.

Is ad spend included in your fee?

No. Ad spend is separate and paid by the brand directly to TikTok. GMV Max management is part of our Growth Partner plan.

Do you offer GMV Max management in the UK?

Yes. SparkGMV manages GMV Max campaigns for TikTok Shop brands in both the United States and the United Kingdom, using creator videos from creators in the matching market.

What are Spark Ads?

Spark Ads is TikTok's ad format for promoting real organic posts from your own account or from a creator who authorizes you. Views, likes, comments, shares and follows from the ad are credited to the original post.

Can Spark Ads drive TikTok Shop sales directly?

At the time of writing, TikTok says GMV Max is the only supported campaign type for Sales campaigns with a TikTok Shop destination. Spark Ads still matter because GMV Max can use Spark Ads posts as creative, and Spark Ads stay useful for launches, awareness and testing.

How do creators give us a Spark Ads code?

The creator opens the video in the TikTok app, goes to the ad settings in the post menu, generates an authorization code and chooses how long it lasts. We then apply that code in TikTok Ads Manager.

Which creator videos should be boosted?

We look for videos that already hold attention organically, show the product clearly, make one clear promise and come from creators whose audience matches your buyer. Views alone are not enough.

Is Spark Ads management included in every plan?

Spark Ads management sits in our Growth Partner plan, alongside GMV Max. Ad spend is separate and paid by the brand.

Free GMV Max & Affiliate Audit

Read the full page →

Is the TikTok Shop audit really free?

Yes. The audit is free, with no obligation to work with us afterward. You keep the written findings and the 90-day plan either way.

What does the audit cover?

Three pillars: GMV Max campaigns, Spark Ads creative and your affiliate and creator program. Each pillar is scored, and the findings are turned into a prioritized 90-day plan.

What access do you need?

Read access to your TikTok Shop Seller Center and TikTok Ads Manager is ideal, so we can look at real performance data. We confirm exactly what is needed before starting.

Can you audit a shop with no ads running yet?

Yes. If you are not running GMV Max or Spark Ads yet, we focus on the affiliate program and creative library and tell you whether you are ready to start paid and how.

What happens after the call?

You can run the plan in-house, or ask us for a proposal. If we work together, the audit findings become the starting brief.

What Does GMV Mean on TikTok Shop? A Plain-English Guide for Brands

Read the full guide →

What does GMV stand for on TikTok Shop?

GMV stands for Gross Merchandise Value. It is the total value of the orders placed through TikTok Shop in a given period, measured before your costs are taken out.

Is GMV the same as revenue or profit?

No. GMV is a top-line sales figure. It does not show what you keep after product cost, platform fees, commissions, shipping and ad spend, so a high GMV can still be unprofitable.

Does GMV include refunds and cancellations?

That depends on the report and its filters, and definitions can change. Check how your own Seller Center report treats cancelled and refunded orders before you compare GMV to your accounting numbers.

What is the difference between GMV and GMV Max?

GMV is a metric: the sales total. GMV Max is a TikTok Shop Ads campaign type that automatically optimizes ads to drive more of that metric for the products you choose.

What is affiliate GMV?

Affiliate GMV is the portion of sales that came through creators promoting your products. It is the number to watch when judging an affiliate program, alongside the commission you paid on it.

Is a higher GMV always better?

Not on its own. Growing GMV with discounts, heavy samples or a low ROI target can shrink margin. Judge GMV together with contribution margin and return rate.

How to Connect TikTok Shop GMV to Looker Studio, BigQuery and Power BI

Read the full guide →

Is there a native TikTok Shop connector for Looker Studio?

At the time of writing (October 2026), Google does not offer a built-in TikTok Shop connector for Looker Studio. You either upload exports to Google Sheets, use a third-party connector, or load the data into BigQuery yourself and connect Looker Studio to that.

Can I get TikTok Shop data into BigQuery for free?

Yes, if you build it. You can upload Seller Center exports manually, or write a small pipeline that calls TikTok's official APIs and loads the results into BigQuery. You pay for engineering time and Google Cloud usage instead of a connector subscription.

Why does GMV in Ads Manager not match Seller Center?

They measure different things. TikTok's help center says Ads Manager gross revenue is customer payment minus sales taxes plus platform price discounts, while Seller Center GMV is customer payment. GMV Max gross revenue also includes organic orders attributed to the campaign.

Which metrics should a TikTok Shop GMV dashboard include?

Start with total GMV, orders, refunds, affiliate GMV by creator, GMV Max cost, gross revenue and ROI, and Spark Ads spend. Show them by day and by product so you can see which channel and which SKU is moving.

How do I avoid double counting affiliate and ad orders?

Use Seller Center order data as the single source of truth for total GMV, and treat affiliate and ad reports as overlapping views of those same orders. Never add affiliate GMV and GMV Max gross revenue together to get a total.

Should I use Power BI or Looker Studio for TikTok Shop reporting?

Use whichever tool the rest of your business already reports in. Looker Studio is free and pairs naturally with Google Sheets and BigQuery, while Power BI suits teams already on Microsoft 365. The data preparation work is the same either way.

GMV Max ROI Target: How to Set It, Adjust It and Stop Starving Delivery

Read the full guide →

What is the ROI target in GMV Max?

It is the return on ad spend you tell GMV Max to aim for: total GMV attributed to the campaign divided by ad cost. The system tries to spend your budget while holding that return, so it works a bit like a cost cap.

What ROI target should I set for GMV Max?

Start from your own break-even ROI, then compare it with the recommended ROI TikTok shows in Ads Manager. Setting the target at or slightly below the recommendation is the safer way to get delivery, as long as it stays above break-even.

How is the recommended ROI calculated?

At the time of writing (October 2026), TikTok's help center describes the recommended ROI as historical non-LIVE GMV divided by historical ad cost for the products in the campaign.

Why is my GMV Max campaign not spending?

The most common cause is an ROI target that is higher than the campaign can currently achieve. TikTok says lower targets boost delivery while higher ones may limit spend, so check the target against the recommendation, then check creative volume and budget.

How often can I change the GMV Max ROI target?

TikTok advises against frequent changes because they interrupt learning, and suggests holding each ROI setting for at least three full days before adjusting. Make one change at a time so you can tell what caused any shift.

Is a higher ROI target always better?

No. A higher target usually means fewer orders and less spend, which can lower total profit even if the reported ROI looks better. The right target is the lowest one that still leaves you profitable after all costs.

TikTok Shop Open vs Target Collaboration: Which One Should You Use?

Read the full guide →

What is the difference between open and target collaboration on TikTok Shop?

Open collaboration makes your products available to eligible affiliate creators who choose to promote them. Target collaboration is invitation-only: you pick specific creators and products and set the terms, either commission-only or a flat fee.

Which commission applies if a product is in both?

According to TikTok's seller documentation, a target collaboration rate takes precedence over the open rate for the same product, so the invited creator gets the target terms. Confirm the current rule in your Seller Center.

Should a new TikTok Shop brand start with open or target collaboration?

Run both. Turn on open collaboration with a sustainable commission so creators can find you, and use target collaboration to invite a small, hand-picked group of creators in your category with a stronger offer.

What does a flat fee collaboration cost?

TikTok's documentation describes flat fees in a range of $20 to $10,000 per creator, with up to 50 creators per invitation, at the time of writing (October 2026). Check Seller Center for current limits before you plan a budget.

Can I change a commission rate after creators join?

Yes, but TikTok protects creators already promoting a product. At the time of writing, a rate decrease waits out a 30-day window while an increase applies right away. Set rates you can sustain before you recruit.

Do I need an agency to run both collaboration types?

No. Both are available in Seller Center. The hard part is the weekly rhythm of inviting, approving samples and following up, which is what teams outsource when nobody owns it.

TikTok Shop Affiliate Agency: What They Actually Do and How to Choose One

Read the full guide →

How is an affiliate agency different from an influencer agency?

An influencer agency usually negotiates one-off sponsored posts and is measured on reach or engagement. A TikTok Shop affiliate agency manages an ongoing program inside Seller Center and is measured on sales that creators drive.

How much does a TikTok Shop affiliate agency cost?

Common models are a monthly retainer, a share of new revenue, or both. See our pricing guide for the ranges and how to compare them. Product samples and any ad spend are usually paid by the brand on top.

What should I ask an affiliate agency before hiring?

Ask how they source and vet creators, how they report (GMV, not just views), who owns the creator relationships, what you pay for samples and ads, and what happens to the roster if you leave. Ask for references you can contact.

Should I run TikTok Shop affiliates in-house instead?

In-house works if someone can own the weekly rhythm of outreach, sample approvals and follow-up. If that person does not exist, results usually stall after the first burst of outreach, which is when an agency earns its fee.

Do affiliate creators have to disclose partnerships?

Yes. The FTC says a material connection, such as free product or a commission, must be clearly disclosed. Build disclosure expectations into your creator brief.

What Is GMV Max on TikTok Shop? A Practical Guide for DTC Brands

Read the full guide →

What does GMV Max mean?

GMV stands for gross merchandise value, the total value of orders placed through your shop, and Max describes the goal of maximizing it. GMV Max is the name of TikTok's automated TikTok Shop Ads campaign that tries to grow total shop GMV while holding the ROI target you set.

How do I turn on GMV Max?

In TikTok Ads Manager, click GMV Max, choose your TikTok Shop, then select Create GMV Max ads and Promote products. Pick your products, set an ROI target and daily budget, choose a start time and publish. Your shop must be linked to your Business Center and your ad account needs GMV Max authorization first.

What is GMV Max on TikTok Shop?

GMV Max is TikTok's automated campaign type for TikTok Shop Ads. You choose products, an ROI target and a daily budget, and TikTok's system handles creative selection, audiences, placements and ad creation, optimizing for total shop GMV across paid, organic and affiliate traffic.

Is GMV Max mandatory for TikTok Shop ads?

According to TikTok's help center, since July 2025 GMV Max has been the default and only supported campaign type for Sales campaigns that send traffic to TikTok Shop. Existing legacy Video, Product and LIVE Shopping Ads campaigns could keep running, but new ones with a Shop destination cannot be created.

What is the difference between Product GMV Max and LIVE GMV Max?

Product GMV Max promotes shoppable products and optimizes for non-LIVE GMV. LIVE GMV Max promotes your livestreams and optimizes for sales inside the LIVE room, with one campaign allowed per TikTok identity.

Does GMV Max use affiliate creator videos?

Yes. TikTok's help center says GMV Max automatically includes authorized affiliate videos that feature your selected products, and those videos receive a commercial content label. You can also add specific creator posts using a TikTok post code.

Can I run GMV Max and older Shop Ads on the same product?

No. TikTok requires you to remove products from existing Video Shopping Ads, Product Shopping Ads or other GMV Max campaigns before promoting them in a new Product GMV Max campaign, so each product sits in one campaign.

TikTok Shop Free Samples: How to Approve, Chase and Measure Samples That Actually Turn Into Videos and Sales

Read the full guide →

What does an auto-approved free sample mean on TikTok Shop?

An auto-approved free sample is a creator's sample request that is accepted automatically because it meets rules you set in advance, instead of you reviewing it by hand. It saves time on low-cost products and proven creators; expensive products and unproven profiles are usually better reviewed manually.

Who can request TikTok Shop free samples?

At the time of writing, TikTok Shop says free samples are available to affiliate creators who have generated TikTok Shop sales within the last 120 days. Sellers can add their own eligibility thresholds on top of that and still decide whether to approve each request.

How long does a creator have to post after receiving a free sample?

TikTok Shop asks creators to post within 14 days of receiving a free sample. Qualifying content is a public shoppable video kept up for at least 3 days, or a LIVE of at least 10 minutes with the product linked.

Should I turn on auto-approval for TikTok Shop samples?

Auto-approval works well for low-cost products and creators who meet simple thresholds such as recent GMV and post rate. Keep manual review for expensive SKUs, new categories and creators with thin or off-category history.

What is a good sample-to-video rate on TikTok Shop?

There is no official benchmark, so measure your own baseline by cohort and by approval rule. Track it weekly and tighten criteria for any segment that consistently underperforms your shop average.

What is the difference between free and refundable samples?

With a free sample the seller pays for the product and approves the request. With a refundable sample the creator buys the product and is refunded after meeting the seller's sales goal, so no seller approval is needed.

How many free samples should a new TikTok Shop brand send?

Set the number from a budget, not a guess: decide what you can afford to spend to acquire one productive creator, divide by your all-in cost per sample, and adjust monthly as your sample-to-GMV data comes in.

TikTok Shop Agency Pricing: How Agencies Charge, What You Actually Pay, and How to Compare Proposals

Read the full guide →

How much does a TikTok Shop agency cost?

It depends on the pricing model and scope. SparkGMV publishes monthly retainers of $1,500, $2,500 or $5,000, with an optional success fee of 5%, 10% or 15% on new revenue only on the Growth Partner plan. Ad spend is separate and paid by the brand.

Is ad spend included in TikTok Shop agency fees?

Usually not, and at SparkGMV it never is. Ad spend on Spark Ads and GMV Max is paid by the brand directly to TikTok, separately from the agency's retainer and any success fee.

What is a success fee in TikTok Shop agency pricing?

A success fee is a percentage the agency earns on revenue it helps generate. At SparkGMV the fee is 5%, 10% or 15% and applies only to new revenue above your starting baseline, not to sales you were already making.

Retainer or commission: which pricing model is better?

A pure retainer gives predictable costs but no performance link; pure commission links pay to results but can push an agency toward short-term volume. A hybrid of a modest retainer plus a success fee on new revenue usually aligns incentives best for growing shops.

What costs sit outside the agency fee on TikTok Shop?

Expect TikTok Shop referral fees on each sale, affiliate creator commissions and any flat creator fees, free sample product and shipping costs, and your ad budget. Ask any agency to show these alongside its own fee.

How do I estimate my total cost with SparkGMV?

Use the growth simulator on our pricing section to model your current monthly revenue, ad budget and expected lift, or request a free quote and we will scope the plan with your numbers.

TikTok Shop Affiliate Commission Rates: How to Set Them by Margin, Not Guesswork

Read the full guide →

What is a good TikTok Shop affiliate commission rate?

There is no single right number. A good rate is the highest one your contribution margin can support after product cost, fulfillment, platform fees, returns, samples and the profit you need to keep. Work it out per product rather than copying a competitor.

What does Shop Ads commission mean on TikTok Shop?

Shop Ads commission is the commission a creator earns on orders that come from ads using their content, such as Spark Ads or GMV Max, instead of their organic post. It is set separately from the standard rate; at the time of writing, TikTok's setup guide says it cannot be lower than 30% of the standard rate in most regions.

What is the difference between open and targeted collaborations on TikTok Shop?

An open collaboration makes products available to any eligible creator at a standard rate you set. A targeted (target) collaboration is an invitation to specific creators, usually at a higher custom rate, and can include samples, a set duration and requested content types.

Which commission applies if a product is in both an open and a targeted collaboration?

According to TikTok's Seller Center help documentation, a creator is paid only one rate per product and the target collaboration rate takes precedence over the open collaboration rate.

What range can TikTok Shop commission rates be set to?

At the time of writing (October 2026), TikTok's Seller Center help pages say sellers can set a commission rate from 1% to 80% of GMV per order. Check Seller Center for the current limits in your market.

Should I pay creators a flat fee or commission only?

Commission-only works when you have a proven product and many creators willing to test it. A hybrid of a flat fee plus commission makes sense for established creators whose time is in demand or when you need guaranteed content quickly. Many brands use both, depending on the creator tier.

How often should I change my commission rates?

Review rates monthly against real order data rather than changing them weekly. Frequent cuts damage trust with creators, so raise rates deliberately for proven performers and only lower them with notice and a clear reason.

Spark Ads vs GMV Max: How They Differ and How to Use Both on TikTok Shop

Read the full guide →

What is the main difference between Spark Ads and GMV Max?

Spark Ads is an ad format that promotes real organic TikTok posts, from your account or an authorizing creator, with engagement credited to the original post. GMV Max is an automated campaign type for TikTok Shop that chooses creative, audiences and placements itself to maximize shop sales at your ROI target.

Can I still use Spark Ads to drive TikTok Shop sales?

At the time of writing, TikTok says GMV Max is the only supported campaign type for Sales campaigns with a TikTok Shop destination. Authorized creator and brand posts still matter, because GMV Max can pull in Spark Ads posts and authorized videos as creative, and Spark Ads remain available for other objectives.

Is GMV Max better than Spark Ads?

They do different jobs. GMV Max is built for scaling shop sales with automation, while Spark Ads give you manual control over targeting and objectives for things like launches, awareness and testing specific creator posts.

How do I get a Spark Ads code from a creator?

The creator opens the video in the TikTok app, taps the three dots, opens ad settings and generates an authorization code, choosing how long the authorization lasts. You then apply that code in TikTok Ads Manager to use the post.

Should a new TikTok Shop start with Spark Ads or GMV Max?

Most new shops should first build a library of creator content through seeding and affiliates. Once there is enough content and some sales history, GMV Max becomes the main sales engine, with Spark Ads used selectively for launches and creative testing.

Do Spark Ads and GMV Max compete for the same audience?

They can overlap, which is why it helps to give each a distinct job, objective and budget line. Keep Shop-destination sales in GMV Max and use Spark Ads for non-sales objectives so you are not double counting results.

How to Hire a TikTok Shop Agency: 12 Questions to Ask Before You Sign

Read the full guide →

How do I choose a TikTok Shop agency?

Shortlist agencies that work in your market and category, then ask each the same set of questions about who does the work, how they find creators, how they report and how they are paid. Verify their claims with shop backend screenshots and references before you sign.

Are best TikTok Shop agency lists trustworthy?

Treat them with caution. Many of these lists are published by agencies that include themselves, so use them to build a shortlist, then judge each agency on evidence you can verify.

How long before a TikTok Shop agency shows results?

Expect the first month to be access, audit and creator outreach, with early sales signals in the second month and clearer scaling decisions by the third. An agency promising large results in the first few weeks should explain exactly how.

Should I give an agency my TikTok Shop login?

No. Give access through Seller Center user roles or TikTok Business Center permissions so you stay the owner and can remove access at any time. Never share your main owner login.

What should a TikTok Shop agency report on?

At minimum: GMV split by affiliate, ads and organic channels, creators contacted, samples sent and posting rate, ad spend and return, and what changed since the last report. Reports should tie back to data you can see in your own Seller Center.

How to Find TikTok Shop Affiliates: A Practical Sourcing and Outreach Process for DTC Brands

Read the full guide →

How do I find affiliates for my TikTok Shop?

Use two routes at once: open collaboration so creators can find and request your products, and target collaboration, where you search for specific creators in Seller Center's Find Creators tool and invite them. Then vet each creator on recent sales, content history and category fit before sending samples.

Where do I find creators for TikTok Shop?

The main place is the Find Creators tool in your Seller Center Affiliate Center, under Discover creators, where you can search, filter by category, follower size and commission rate, and invite creators. Your own customers, top affiliate videos in your niche and creators selling adjacent products are good sources too.

What is the difference between open and target collaboration?

Open collaboration lists your products for any eligible affiliate creator to promote, optionally with approval required. Target collaboration is invitation-only: you pick the creators and products and set the terms, which can include a higher commission or a flat fee.

How many affiliates does a TikTok Shop brand need?

There is no official number. Most programs need far more creators in the funnel than they will keep, because only a minority post consistently. Track how many invited creators actually post and sell, and size your outreach to the number of repeat performers you want.

Should I pay TikTok Shop affiliates a flat fee?

Flat fees make sense for proven creators whose content you want to secure, ideally paired with a commission so they stay motivated to promote. For new or unproven creators, commission-only plus a sample usually carries less risk.

Do TikTok Shop affiliates have to disclose they are promoting my product?

Yes. The FTC says influencers and the brands that work with them are responsible for clearly disclosing a material connection, such as free product or commission, and the platform's tools do not remove that responsibility.

Can an agency find TikTok Shop affiliates for me?

Yes. An affiliate agency can run sourcing, outreach, sample approvals and reporting on your behalf. Whether that beats doing it in-house depends on how many creators you can realistically manage each week.
